Guwahati: The Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan officially commenced at the District Commissioner’s office in Amingaon, Kamrup, marking the start of a week-long initiative running from May 18 to May 25. The launch event was led by District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra and attended by notable officials, including Boko-Chaygaon MLA Raju Mesh, Zilla Parishad CEO Siddharth Goswami, and District Development Commissioner Sushanta Kumar Dutta, alongside several additional district commissioners.
This campaign is specifically designed to bolster the reach of government services within tribal regions. Key objectives include raising awareness about available entitlements, hosting health screening camps, and conducting Jan Sunwai sessions to address public grievances. By facilitating direct village immersion activities and gathering feedback from local beneficiaries, the administration aims to identify and bridge existing gaps in service implementation.
A critical component of this outreach strategy involves the 62 Adi Sewa Kendras distributed throughout the district, which will serve as coordination hubs. These centers are strategically located to support the campaign's goals, with 47 units in Boko, 11 in Bongaon, three in Bezera, and one in Sualkuchi. Through documentation, debriefing, and active community engagement, the initiative seeks to ensure that government aid effectively reaches those who need it most.
