Agartala: The Indian Army's Spear Corps held a day-long drive for troops in Agartala on September 29. The event supported the national Swachh Bharat Campaign. It focused on hygiene, sustainable habits, and garrison management. The program started with a keynote address on the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 vision. Speakers told soldiers that neatness remains vital for national duty and military discipline.

Troops attended interactive sessions on conservation. Officers pushed for energy efficiency and lower resource waste. An Army Medical Officer led a clinical session on how sanitation keeps units ready for combat. The briefing covered modern waste management. Soldiers learned about reducing plastic, recycling organic scraps, and using rainwater harvesting to recharge groundwater.

The Spear Corps guards the northeastern frontier. Beyond border security, the unit handles disaster relief and regional development. An Army official noted the strategic value of these efforts. "Cleanliness and environmental responsibility are force multipliers that directly contribute to troop morale, health and operational readiness," the official said. The command maintains its pledge to keep high sanitation standards across all bases.
