Itanagar: The Indian Army’s Spearhead Division, part of the Spear Corps, held a yoga session for troops stationed at Pasang Sonam Lake in the Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh. Set at an altitude of nearly 9,000 feet, the event served as a lead-up to International Yoga Day 2026.

Personnel operating in these remote forward areas participated in breathing exercises, meditation, and various yoga postures. The scenic, high-altitude environment offered an ideal backdrop for the soldiers to focus on physical fitness, mental resilience, and stress management.

According to the Army, the program emphasized the benefits of maintaining a disciplined lifestyle while working in challenging terrain. The session helped boost concentration and morale among the troops while strengthening their connection to national initiatives. This event reflects the ongoing commitment of the Indian Army to prioritize the holistic health and operational readiness of soldiers serving in frontier regions.
