Itanagar: An Indian Air Force helicopter touched down in flood-ravaged Yazali to drop off critical supplies. The crew delivered 350 kilograms of relief gear, including a rescue boat, to the Keyi Panyor district. They did not stop there.

The chopper ferried National Disaster Response Force teams into the region to bolster local rescue and evacuation efforts. The mission faced rough weather and jagged, hilly terrain. Still, the pilots cleared the flight path and completed the job.

The airlift provided a lifeline to residents trapped by flash floods. The IAF stated the mission provided "immediate support to the district administration and people stranded by flash floods."

Roads near Pitapool are finally open again. Emergency crews continue to evacuate the injured by air while water levels slowly recede.
