Agartala: The Indian Association of Physics Teachers held its annual convention at ICFAI University Tripura on June 7. The event brought together more than 100 students, researchers, and educators to explore how physics education can better align with rapid scientific and technological progress.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder inaugurated the gathering, which featured a range of technical sessions and academic presentations. IAPT President Prof. P. K. Ahluwalia joined virtually to speak on the evolution of the field. During his lecture, he addressed the, "expansion and advancement of physics education in the modern era."
Key contributors included Dr. Pramod Ranjan Bhattacharya, who led a session on Bragg's X-ray Diffraction Law, along with expert insights from Dr. Anirban Guha and Dr. Dipayan Chattopadhyay. National Institute of Technology Agartala Director Prof. (Dr.) Sarat Kumar Patra served as the chief guest for the closing session. The convention concluded following a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Camellia Das, head of the university's physics department.
