Heavy Rain Forecast Across Northeast India

Kohima: The India Meteorological Department issued a weather bulletin today warning of enhanced rainfall across the North East. Expect heavy to very heavy downpours over the next seven days. The region faces a wet week ahead.

Arunachal Pradesh will see widespread rain from July 16 through July 20. Assam and Meghalaya, along with Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, should prepare for similar conditions between July 17 and July 22. The IMD stated that "fairly widespread to widespread rainfall was likely" across these states.

Storms are coming. Isolated thunderstorms and lightning will hit Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from July 17 to July 20. Residents should stay alert as the monsoon activity intensifies across the region.
