Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court cleared Garima Garg to access and manage the bank accounts of her late husband, singer Zubeen Garg. Authorities froze the accounts during the investigation into his death. Now, the court says his family needs the money to handle personal affairs.

Court records show roughly Rs 9 lakh sits in the singer’s accounts. This decision comes as lawyers leveled serious accusations against the singer’s former manager, Siddhartha Sharma. They claim Sharma diverted payments meant for the performer and siphoned off cash from Bihu committees. One allegation suggests that "Rs 32 lakh paid by Bihu committees last year had been misappropriated."

Legal teams claim Sharma’s own accounts hold several crores. The court has not yet ruled on the merits of these theft allegations. Meanwhile, the manager is fighting back. He went to the Supreme Court to push for moving the trial out of Assam. That request remains pending before the top court.
