Guwahati: Siddharth Sharma stays behind bars. Judge Mitali Thakuria of the Gauhati High Court rejected his latest bail application, marking the second time a court has denied his release in the Zubeen Garg death case.

A Fast Track Court previously turned down a similar request from Sharma. He has been in judicial custody since his October 1, 2025 arrest, which followed the death of Zubeen Garg on September 19, 2025. The legal proceedings remain active. As it stands, "Siddharth Sharma will remain in judicial custody as the investigation and legal proceedings in the case continue."
