Itanagar: Heavy rains and cloudbursts on June 28 tore through Arunachal Pradesh. Floods and landslides hit the 36-Nari-Koyu constituency hard. The disaster left several villages trapped and cut off from the rest of the region.

Six major bridges fell. This includes the Reme, Koyu, Sijo, Sido, and Doge structures. Massive mudslides blocked roads, killing emergency response efforts and normal travel. Villages like Lipin, Mane, Tene, Sipu, and Korang face severe wreckage.

Floodwaters swallowed hundreds of rice fields and orchards. Kadu village suffered massive livestock losses. Local reports confirm that "an estimated 1,000 cattle and goats swept away by floodwaters."

Homes, water pipelines, and power poles crumbled. Schools and clinics also sustained heavy damage. Local leaders now demand immediate government action. They want heavy machinery brought in to clear the roads and restore basic power and water supplies. Officials are still working to reach isolated areas as rain continues to hammer the state.
