Guwahati: Madhu Boro vanished after traveling to Dambuk in Arunachal Pradesh for work. The 40-year-old left his home in Dhumarpathar, Assam, on May 17. He reached out to his family by phone shortly after arriving. Then the line went dead. Two days later, all contact stopped.

His family has spent a month searching for him. They have found nothing. A missing person report sits on file at the Dhumarpathar Police Outpost, but progress remains stalled. The case has gone cold.

Relatives blame Gunjit Nath, a man from Saudarbhitha in Baksa district, for organizing the job trip. They are unhappy with how the situation unfolded. The family is now calling for help from the public and local law enforcement to find him. "The family has expressed concern and dissatisfaction regarding the circumstances under which he was taken for employment."

Boro leaves behind a wife and a daughter. They wait for answers while the investigation crawls forward.
