Enhulumi LJP Unit Defects to Naga Peoples Front

Kohima: The LJP (RV) unit in Enhulumi village abandoned their party on August 11. They joined the Naga Peoples Front in a mass defection within the 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency. The switch occurred at a welcome event attended by Power and Parliamentary Affairs Minister KG Kenye.

Kenye represents the constituency and serves as the NPF Chief Whip. He praised the move as a major gain for his organization. "Now we can confidently say that the NPF party enjoys absolute majority in Enhulumi village," he said. He thanked the defectors for trusting his leadership and urged them to push for local growth.

Former LJP leaders publicly backed the move. Advisor Wekhrolo Lohe declared they would serve the NPF from now on. Unit President Krolhipe Lohe confirmed they joined without conditions to help bolster the party. NPF Phek Division President Chubutse Naro praised the arrivals for supporting Kenye and Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio.

Local leadership handled the event. Welhipe Chiero chaired the session while Kope-u Chirhah led an invocation. Lhionyi Puro gave the opening address, and Neikute Elah offered thanks. Pastor Kethotshiilo Puro closed the day with a benediction.
