Imphal: The Election Commission of India has officially launched the enumeration phase for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. This stage covers Odisha, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Manipur as part of a larger nationwide exercise involving 16 states and three union territories.

Booth Level Officers are currently conducting house-to-house visits to distribute and collect registration forms. To ensure thorough coverage, these officers are carrying blank copies of Form 6 and the necessary declaration documents. Citizens can hand their completed applications to these officers directly or submit them through the online portal.

The commission allows Booth Level Agents from recognized political parties to collect up to 50 forms daily to assist with the process. To be included in the draft rolls, applications must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by June 28. Individuals who miss this cutoff can still submit their details during the subsequent claims and objections window.

The draft electoral rolls are scheduled for publication on July 5. A period for public feedback will follow until August 4, leading to the release of final rolls on September 6. The commission aims to ensure all eligible citizens aged 18 and older are registered while maintaining the integrity of the voter database.
