Kohima: I Moatemjen Jamir stepped down as Director and Head of Department for the Nagaland Department of Printing and Stationery on Monday. His departure marks the end of a thirty-year career. Jamir joined the department back in 1996 as a Foreman.
Staff held a farewell event at the Directorate Conference Hall in Kohima. Jamir attended the gathering alongside his family. He thanked his colleagues for their support during his long tenure. He noted that he felt deep attachment to the office, adding, "I expressed satisfaction with its work environment, which he described as friendly."
Additional Director Jongpongtoshi led the congratulations. He presented Jamir with his completed pension papers. Jongpongtoshi framed the departure as a fresh start rather than a final conclusion. Joint Director Vilekho Kichu chaired the session. UDA S Chilliam provided the opening prayer. Registrar L Ongpa Phom also spoke to the gathered staff. The department hosted a luncheon to cap off the event.
