Itanagar: The Enforcement Directorate seized two properties worth Rs 2.69 crore from Nyakpo Yangfo. This move follows a probe into dirty money tied to the Lada-Sarli Frontier Highway Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The Itanagar Sub-Zonal Office acted under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act.

Corruption allegations plague the land payout process for Packages IV and V of the highway scheme. Investigators claim officials bungled the assessment and disbursement of compensation funds. The agency states the action remains subject to confirmation by a competent authority.

Agents targeted land in the Balijan Circle of Papum Pare district. The first asset covers 7,950 square metres in Taraso village, worth Rs 1.59 crore. The second property includes 3,440 square metres and two fish ponds at Chessa village, valued at Rs 1.10 crore. Officials confirmed they are "provisionally attached under the provisions of the PMLA" as the case progresses.
