East Dimapur Business Association Demands Immediate Restoration of Waste Collection

Kohima: The East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) is calling on local authorities to immediately resume garbage collection services in the area. The association reports that waste removal has stopped, leaving local businesses to struggle with mounting trash outside their storefronts.

Traders and business owners have already paid their full annual sanitation fees during trade license renewals. Despite these payments, the lack of service has hindered proper waste management and undermined the cleanliness of commercial zones.

EDBA warned that the accumulating refuse poses significant health and environmental risks to customers and the general public. The organization is urging officials to intervene quickly to ensure that regular collection resumes and that the city maintains a sanitary environment for all local enterprises.
