Imphal: Dr. W. S. Khanpam has successfully earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from IES University in Bhopal. A native of Teinem Village in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, she is the daughter of W. S. Ngazek and Free Somi.
Her doctoral research evaluated how various teaching strategies influence the academic performance, motivation, and clinical attitudes of nursing students focused on postpartum management. The study aims to refine nursing education practices to better prepare healthcare professionals for the demands of maternal and neonatal care.
Dr. Khanpam holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Saveetha University in Chennai and currently serves as an Associate Professor. Beyond her academic duties, she is a prolific researcher who has published over ten articles in journals indexed by Scopus and Web of Science.
Her expertise is recognized internationally through her position as an editorial board member for the Journal of Obstetrics, Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing. Her ongoing commitment to teaching and research marks a significant milestone in her career and serves as an example for nursing students aiming to impact the healthcare sector.
