Kohima: Dimapur police broke up a local sex racket on July 31. Officers arrested 11 women and three men during the operation. The raid involved the ADCP of Women and Juvenile, the Officer-in-Charge of the Women Police Station, and staff under the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur.
The Naga Women Hoho Dimapur backed the crackdown. They praised the police for moving fast to stop human trafficking and the exploitation of minors. The group insisted that the "safety, dignity and well-being of women and minors" remain its foremost concern.
The organization now wants police to keep the pressure on. They argued that these busts should not be one-off events. NWHD also thanked the media for shedding light on the operation and boosting public awareness regarding the ongoing dangers in the district.
