Guwahati: Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan took his oath Wednesday as an ex-officio member of the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation. The ceremony took place inside the corporation auditorium. Local officials and citizens gathered to watch him take the post.
Deputy Commissioner Bikram Kairi and Mayor Dr. Saikat Patra attended the event. Phukan thanked the attendees during his brief address. He stated, "The new responsibility would further strengthen his commitment towards public service."
