Guwahati: Dhubri police landed a heavy blow against local drug rings this Sunday. Officers from the Bazar Town Outpost swarmed an area after getting a tip, pulling in a suspect with a stash of illegal pills.

The raid netted 252 grams of suspected YABA tablets hidden in 12 separate packets. Police identified the man in custody as Fulchand Ali, a local resident from NC River Block 10. They also took his keypad mobile phone, which investigators claim served as his primary tool for moving product. He is now a hardcore drug peddler.

Sub-Inspector A. J. Rabha led the operation that cornered Ali. The suspect remains in police hands while authorities file charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. A police official confirmed the operation was based on credible intelligence, noting that "the contraband and the mobile handset were seized on the spot."

Detectives are now working to map out the supply chain. They want to know exactly where these pills came from and who else is feeding the local trade. This arrest adds to a string of busts by Assam Police aimed at breaking drug networks across the state.
