SSB Inspector General Reviews Security on India-Bhutan Border

Guwahati: SSB Inspector General Sudhir Verma just wrapped a two-day inspection of the India-Bhutan border. He surveyed outposts across the Tamulpur and Udalguri districts. The visit ended August 28. H K Gupta, Commandant of the 24th Battalion, joined him for the trek. The pair scrutinized operational preparedness and current security protocols.

Verma pushed for better living standards for the force. He inaugurated three new accommodation blocks at the Guabari border outpost. The officer spent time with the troops. He participated in scheduled sports activities and led tree planting efforts at both the Guabari and Bimalanagar locations. He told the gathered crowd and staff that the, "importance of environmental conservation," matters for the region.
