Guwahati: The Kamrup (Metropolitan) District Judge’s Court has officially named Garima Saikia Garg as the legal heir to the estate of Assamese singer Zubeen Garg. The ruling grants her full control over his assets.
This certificate serves as the primary document needed to claim movable and immovable property. It covers financial holdings and all other legal entitlements. The court order now mandates that authorities update property records to reflect her ownership. She can manage, transfer, or administer these assets as the law prescribes.
The court's decision marks the end of the legal proceedings regarding the singer's estate. The court stated the certificate "authorises her to manage matters related to the ownership, administration and transfer of the properties through due legal process."
