Central Puja Committee Elects New Leadership for 2026-2029 Term

Shillong: The Central Puja Committee of Meghalaya refreshed its leadership ranks this weekend. Members met Saturday at the Oakland Community Hall in Shillong for a Triennial General Meeting to finalize the executive committee for the 2026-2029 term.

Naba Bhattacharjee takes the helm as president. Arbind Yadav moves into the role of working president. The committee also appointed Ajay Agarwal, Sharad Rana, Bidhan Das, Sujit Dey, D. Sinha Roy, and Saswati Dey to serve as vice presidents.

Operational roles saw Ananga M. Paul elected general secretary. Debapriya Deb joins as assistant general secretary, and Anil Bajaj steps in as finance secretary. Pankaj Deb, Supriyo Dhar, Dilip Chanda, and Ratan Dey will work as assistant secretaries.

The group also formed an advisory panel. This committee includes JL Das, PD Chokhani, Ramsevak Singh, JP Singh, Babulal Sharma, and BP Joshi. These men will work alongside the executive members to manage the organization.
