Kohima: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members rode through Nagaland on Saturday. The two-wheeler rally marked 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public life. Participants gathered at the 4th Mile Agri Expo. Minister for PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi, flagged off the riders toward Showuba. The event ended at Samagooting Stadium in Chümoukedima.
Roughly 40 to 50 motorcycles participated in the Seva Sankalp Yatra Abhiyan. Minister Zhimomi praised the riders for crossing political lines to support the program. He stated that the country had seen major changes in governance since 2014. He credited these shifts to the Antyodaya principle, which aims to bring development to the most remote villages.
Zhimomi pushed for a more unified vision for the region. He demanded that residents view every citizen as a stakeholder in the state. “The State belongs to each and every Naga. We cannot discriminate anybody. We have to learn to appreciate one another,” he said. He added that the 12 BJP legislators in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly remain committed to the people.
The minister urged the public to work together to reach the Viksit Bharat 2047 national goal. He emphasized that building a prosperous Nagaland requires the best minds working in harmony. The rally serves as one of many events held across the country to celebrate the prime minister's long tenure.
