Agartala: Former Tripura Chief Minister and current MP Biplab Kumar Deb joined the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Jogendranagar. The Jogendranagar Adarsha Yuba Sangstha organised the event. Deb pulled the sacred chariot with local devotees while offering prayers for the well-being of the state. He marked the occasion by sharing greetings with the residents of Tripura.
The event drew a massive crowd of faithful participants. Deb addressed the gathering during the festivities. He described the event as "a unique festival of devotion, love and joy that carries the eternal message of service, sacrifice and unity." He claimed the physical act of moving the chariot deepens emotional bonds and social harmony.
Deb pointed to the resilience of the nation throughout history. He argued that Indian culture survived despite centuries of outside pressure. He remains confident in the future. "Our traditions are timeless, and they will remain unbroken in the future as well," Deb asserted.
The procession featured elephants, which Deb called symbols of royal dignity and prosperity. He noted that these animals have led religious ceremonies since ancient times. Their inclusion in the modern Jagannath route keeps a powerful cultural legacy alive.
