Guwahati: Football fans in Assam gain two prime spots to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed plans for official fan parks in Guwahati and Dibrugarh. The Assam Tourism Development Corporation is running the show.

The action starts at the Latasil Playground in Guwahati on June 29. Dibrugarh follows suit on June 30 at the Chowkidingee Field. Expect giant screens and massive crowds. Supporters will gather in the open air to catch the tournament matches.

Sarma pushed for a strong turnout on social media. He believes the shared atmosphere changes everything. "Watching the World Cup together with hundreds of supporters would make the experience even more memorable," he said. The initiative promises a unique viewing experience for everyone in the region.
