Guwahati: The Zubeen Garg Nyay Dabi Samiti is ramping up pressure. They will meet at noon this Sunday at Zubeen Khetra to plot a new series of statewide protests. The group plans at least two or three major demonstrations and a massive rally before the Supreme Court reviews bail pleas on November 6.

Sivasagar MLA and Raijor Dal chief Akhil Gogoi called for broad participation. He wants people from all political backgrounds to join the push for justice. The forum also invited the singer's wife, Garima Saikia Garg, to the upcoming strategy session. These decisions came after a virtual panel meeting held Thursday over Google Meet.

The Supreme Court hearing will address bail requests from Shyamkanu Mahanta and Sekhar Goswami. Both men face charges linked to Garg’s death. The forum aims to mobilize thousands to demand harsh penalties, including life sentences or the death penalty for the accused. The group also plans to write to state and federal officials on October 25 to request the presence of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta at the upcoming court date.

Participants will take a collective pledge at the rally. They aim to block bail for the suspects and push for the cancellation of relief already granted to others. KMSS general secretary Bidyut Saikia echoed the call for unity across all districts. He stated, "The forum would formally invite Garima Saikia Garg to participate in the discussions." The campaign shows no signs of stopping. They vow to fight until the legal process reaches a final, satisfactory conclusion.
