Guwahati: Supporters of Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg will rally for justice in Guwahati. The All Assam Zubeen Garg Fan Club scheduled the peaceful demonstration for October 30 at Chachal in the Six Mile area. It runs from 10 am to 2 pm. Fans want answers.
Garima Saikia Garg, the singer’s wife, took to Facebook to rally the public. She asked people to unite and raise their voices. This move follows a previous protest on October 12. Many fans missed that event due to short notice, prompting organizers to seek wider participation for the upcoming date. They have already applied for formal administrative permission to host the gathering.
Zubeen Garg died in Singapore in September 2025. The loss sparked massive public concern across the state. Organizers now emphasize that the event must remain orderly. They want a massive turnout to reiterate their demands. "Come together and raise their voices peacefully for justice," the group stated. The fan club is calling on all well-wishers to show up in force.
