Guwahati: Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya turned his focus toward state welfare on June 25. He demanded a full accounting of outreach efforts currently running across Assam. The Governor spent the day at Lok Bhavan inspecting how these programs actually perform on the ground. He wants to know if the money and resources are hitting the right targets.

Acharya tied these efforts directly to the Antyodaya vision championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He insists that governance must put people first. The state is now prioritizing the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged residents above all else.

Results matter. The Governor warned that officials must sharpen their focus on the day-to-day impact of these initiatives. He wants constant monitoring to guarantee inclusive growth. According to the Governor, the schemes have been designed to "bring meaningful and measurable improvements to the lives of citizens, particularly those from vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of society."
