Guwahati: Assam extended its cashless dialysis program today. Eligible patients will continue receiving care at empanelled private hospitals until September 30, 2026. This move keeps treatment flowing under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the shift on X. He stated the decision aims to "ensure uninterrupted treatment for patients undergoing dialysis." The state wants to keep life-saving services within reach for those who need them most.

Government hospitals remain unaffected. Dialysis services at these state-run facilities will carry on as usual without any changes or service restrictions. Officials expect this extension to stabilize healthcare delivery across the state.
