Guwahati: Members of the Morigaon District Congress Committee took to the streets on Monday to condemn the government for a series of national crises. More than fifty party workers joined local leaders in Morigaon town to voice their frustration over the alleged NEET question paper leak, persistent unemployment, and the surging costs of essential goods.
Congress officials argued that frequent paper leaks in major competitive exams have jeopardized the futures of countless students, causing immense mental strain. Beyond the education sector, the party took aim at the slow pace of state and national recruitment, claiming that prolonged delays continue to endanger the livelihoods of educated youth.
The protest also served as a platform to highlight the financial pressure facing households due to inflated prices for cooking gas, fuel, and life-saving medications. Addressing the crowd, party representatives stated that their democratic struggle against the destruction of the education system, rising unemployment, and unprecedented price hikes would continue.
Lahorighat MLA Dr. Asif Mohammad Nazar attended the demonstration alongside various senior party officials and activists. Participants carried banners and shouted slogans throughout the event, accusing the government of maintaining anti-people policies that leave common citizens without relief.
