Guwahati: Assam Congress MLAs Aminur Rashid Choudhury and Joy Prakash Das have demanded firm government intervention following the recent controversy surrounding NEET examination paper leaks. Speaking in Guwahati, the lawmakers emphasized that authorities must take decisive action to prevent future irregularities and protect the interests of students.
The issue of exam integrity remains a focal point of national debate as students and opposition parties push for greater accountability in competitive testing. Both legislators highlighted the need for improved transparency to safeguard the academic futures of young people across the country.
During the event, which was hosted by the National Students Union of India, the MLAs also reflected on their own backgrounds in student activism. Choudhury described his thirty years of organizational experience within the NSUI and the Youth Congress as the foundation of his leadership journey. Das encouraged new recruits in Assam to commit themselves to public service, noting that student organizations remain vital training grounds for the next generation of leaders.
