Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with more than 100 IAS officers this week to outline his long-term vision for a Viksit Assam. During the session, he called on the state's top administrative leaders to foster better collaboration and coordination across all government departments to maintain the recent developmental momentum seen in the region.

The Chief Minister urged the officers to work collectively to push Assam toward national leadership in governance and economic growth. He emphasized that every policy reform should be designed to strengthen the state's position within India's broader developmental landscape. To facilitate this transformation, Sarma encouraged open communication within the ranks, asking officials to share their perspectives freely.

Sarma stressed that the bureaucracy must remain dedicated to high standards of transparency and humility. He stated, "Every initiative, reform and outcome should strengthen the state's role in India's economic and developmental journey." Ultimately, the Chief Minister noted that a committed and accountable civil service remains the primary engine for accelerating Assam's evolution into a leading state.
