Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with investors and top officials on September 8 to force progress on Advantage Assam 2.0 projects. The meeting pushed departments to cut red tape immediately. Speed is the priority. Officials must now maintain direct lines to investors to ensure the state keeps its promises.
Sarma demanded the PWD handle road connectivity to all project sites with a focus on quality. Better infrastructure is the backbone of these deals. He insisted that the state must transform investment commitments into working facilities within set deadlines. The government will track these projects closely to fix implementation gaps as they pop up.
Sarma stated, "The review was aimed at assessing the status of projects, identifying implementation-related challenges and ensuring that investment commitments translate into projects on the ground within the stipulated timelines."
