Assam Chief Minister Inspects Development Sites in Morigaon

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma traveled to Jagiroad in the Morigaon district on May 20 to review government land designated for future development. During his visit, he inspected 331 bighas of land located at Borbori Kacham within the Morigaon Revenue Circle to evaluate current preservation efforts.

While the state government has not finalized specific projects for this particular site, officials stated that the land is being held to support long-term regional growth. The government is currently exploring options to build public infrastructure, educational institutions, or other facilities on the property in the years ahead.

In addition to the site at Borbori, the Chief Minister oversaw progress on earth-filling activities at a neighboring 1,000-bigha plot that the state previously acquired. These inspections reflect the government's broader strategy to secure land banks for upcoming public utility projects across the region.
