Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has officially commended adventurer Tenzin Metoh following the completion of her extensive 22,482-kilometre solo motorcycle expedition. Metoh navigated through 28 states and three Union Territories during her ride, a feat that has earned her widespread recognition for both her stamina and her commitment to public advocacy.
Metoh utilized the lengthy journey to spotlight several social issues, including the importance of plastic-free living, effective waste management, women's empowerment, and the promotion of communal harmony. Khandu emphasized that her efforts extend well past simple adventure, as she is actively working to challenge stereotypes regarding female riders hailing from the Northeast.
Reflecting on her impact, the Chief Minister stated, “By championing critical social causes throughout her journey, she is not only setting an example for young women but also contributing meaningfully to national awareness campaigns.”
During a meeting held to mark the accomplishment, the Chief Minister also engaged with members of the Royal Arunachal Riders. He acknowledged the group for their ongoing dedication to community involvement and the promotion of responsible motorcycling practices across the region.
