Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor K T Parnaik wants every eligible voter on the books. He issued a direct appeal on June 25 for residents to join the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of the state electoral roll. The Governor and his wife, Anagha Parnaik, led by example at Lok Bhavan by filling out their own enumeration forms.

Parnaik insisted that clean records keep the democratic process honest. He claims these lists serve as the backbone of every fair election. As the Governor noted, "electoral rolls are not merely administrative documents but form the foundation of the democratic process."

Officials need help from the public. Parnaik asked citizens to work with election staff to hit the deadline. Accuracy matters. Checking in now ensures no eligible voter gets left behind when it comes time to cast a ballot.
