Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik recently urged the nation's youth to transcend regional boundaries and build stronger connections across the country. Speaking at the Yuva Sangam program in Itanagar, he emphasized that increased interaction and mutual respect are essential to deepening national integration and fostering a spirit of unity among citizens.
During the event, Parnaik met with students from Uttar Pradesh and the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology. He encouraged these young people to embrace curiosity and discipline as tools for personal growth and innovation. He also stressed the importance of preserving indigenous languages and traditional knowledge while committing to environmental protection.
The Governor highlighted the distinct history and developmental path of Arunachal Pradesh, pointing to the state's potential in sectors like tourism, hydropower, and organic farming. He noted that despite geographical and infrastructural hurdles, the region continues to make significant progress with support from the central government.
Reflecting on the cultural ties between the Northeast and the rest of India, Parnaik pointed to historical sites like Parashuram Kund and Bhismaknagar as evidence of deep, long-standing connections. He concluded by reminding the visiting students that the people of the Northeast are deeply patriotic and deserve equal opportunity and respect as they contribute to the nation's collective security and development.
