Itanagar: Chief Minister Pema Khandu kicked off Operation Arunoday today. This joint effort between the Indian Army and the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports aims to jumpstart frontier tourism. The team plans to open a high-altitude trekking route connecting Thingbu village to the 5,583-meter Bajrang Peak in Tawang.

Khandu sees this as a path to growth. He believes the future of the state depends on more than just border security. By opening these rugged zones, the government hopes to create jobs for local villagers while showing off the remote landscape. He said, "The future of Arunachal's frontier lies not only in safeguarding its borders but also in enabling people to experience the region responsibly."

The mission prioritizes sustainable development for the border region. Officials expect the project to bring fresh attention to the state and provide inclusive opportunities for residents living in the shadows of the peaks.
