Imphal: The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has scheduled an emergency assembly session for June 3 in Ukhrul. The meeting aims to address the deteriorating security situation across the state and discuss urgent matters requiring immediate attention.

Assembly Speaker Sinruwng Andria and Secretary Taothing Panmeidiring issued a formal notification requesting the presence of all constituent units, subordinate bodies, tribunal members, and former leaders. The session will commence at 11:00 AM at the Ukhrul district headquarters.

This gathering follows a four-day ultimatum the student organization issued to the Manipur government regarding six missing Naga hostages. With that deadline set to expire on June 2, the leadership has prioritized the assembly to determine the next steps regarding the ongoing unrest and the state government's response to the disappearances.
