Aizawl: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will head to Mizoram on October 5. He plans to inaugurate several development projects, including new schemes under the state cooperation department. Officials confirmed that preparations are underway. The official itinerary remains pending, but Shah is set to appear at a program held at the Youth Recreation Centre in Falkland Veng.
Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Lalhriatpuia moved to clear the path. He issued a formal notice banning vehicle parking along the entire route between Lengpui airport and the Youth Recreation Centre. Authorities will shutter all petrol pumps on that stretch during the visit. The order explicitly bans any activity that might jam traffic.
Officials warned of legal consequences for those who block the way. Motorists must stay clear of the route to ensure the Union Home Minister’s program runs smoothly. Government sources noted that the trip could shift if unforeseen circumstances arise. As one official stated: "The detailed itinerary for the visit is yet to be received, but preparations have already begun."
