Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will likely visit Mizoram on October 5. He plans to inaugurate various state initiatives, specifically projects under the Cooperation Department. Local government officials confirmed the tentative schedule on September 25. While the formal itinerary remains pending, state authorities have started preparations for his arrival.
Security measures are tightening. Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Lalhriatpuia issued an order banning vehicle parking along the transit route between Lengpui and the Youth Recreation Centre in the Falkland area. The mandate is clear. "Motorists have been directed not to cause traffic obstructions along the route," the order states. All petrol pumps lining this path will close for the day to ensure safety and clear passage during the visit.
