Itanagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah contacted Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday. He wanted a full report on the flash floods and landslides tearing through the state. Heavy rain triggered the crisis. Thousands face ruin.

Shah promised full federal support for rescue and relief. The state government is currently moving to help victims and fix damaged infrastructure. The situation remains dire in Keyi Panyor district where officials confirmed multiple deaths.

Khandu updated the Home Minister on the ground reality. The Chief Minister later took to social media to thank the Centre for its fast response. "I express my sincere gratitude to Hon'ble Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji for calling me today to take stock of the flood situation in Arunachal Pradesh," Khandu wrote.

Landslides blocked roads and destroyed homes across the region. Relief teams are working in tough conditions to reach those cut off by the deluge. The government is keeping a close watch as the weather continues to threaten the state.
