Itanagar: A group of recovering addiction survivors hit the streets this month. They raised 89,094 rupees for families struggling after floods devastated the Keyi Panyor district in Arunachal Pradesh. The three-day donation drive ran from July 3 through July 5 across Oyan, Ruksin, and Pasighat markets.

Locals and traders opened their wallets. Pasighat led the charge with 38,471 rupees, while Oyan chipped in 28,340 and Ruksin provided 22,283. Organizers accepted cash and digital payments from commuters and shop owners alike.

The group handed the total sum to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ruksin. The money went straight to the Keyi Panyor Deputy Commissioner to buy food, supplies, and other necessities for the victims. Recovering Warriors representative Mohan Tamut praised the community for the push. He said, "the overwhelming public response made the campaign a success."
