Shillong: The Meghalaya unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has issued a formal call for a transparent and impartial inquiry into the recent NEET-UG paper leak. Representing the concerns of students and parents nationwide, State Secretary Bomsing Khongtir emphasized the need to dismantle the systemic corruption and organized networks that compromised the integrity of the examination process.

Highlighting the severe impact on students who dedicated years of hard work to their studies, the student organization expressed deep concern over the reported involvement of coaching networks and organized malpractices. The group noted that the subsequent cancellation of the exam has caused widespread anxiety, undermining the confidence of thousands of aspirants who rely on a fair merit-based system.

To prevent future recurrences, ABVP Meghalaya has urged the National Testing Agency and the central government to implement robust digital security measures and enhance the monitoring of examination centers. The organization is advocating for a time-bound investigation and strict legal action against the so-called examination mafias operating across states. Despite the current crisis, the organization encouraged aspirants to remain steadfast, reaffirming its dedication to ensuring that merit remains the cornerstone of the Indian educational landscape.
