Guwahati: The All Bodo Students Union put the Central and Assam governments on notice. They want the third Bodo Peace Accord fixed now. The 2020 deal sits gathering dust. Patience is wearing thin.

Leadership warned that further delays will trigger mass protests. They might even revive the old fight for a separate Bodoland state. The union leadership declared that continued stalling will force the community to adopt a strategy centered on "Freedom of Development."

Core parts of the agreement remain stuck. The student group points to a lack of progress on strengthening the Bodoland Territorial Council and securing tribal land rights. They also want more power for Bodo institutions. These were key promises made six years ago.

The union expects action during the upcoming Monsoon Parliament Session. They demand the passage of the Constitution 125th Amendment Bill to keep the peace. Without these changes, they claim the stability of the entire region hangs in the balance.
