ZPM Nominates K Laltluangkima for Mizoram Rajya Sabha Seat

Aizawl: The ruling Zoram People's Movement has officially nominated party spokesperson K Laltluangkima to contest the upcoming Rajya Sabha election. ZPM vice-president C Lalnunnema announced the selection during an event at the party headquarters.

Voters will head to the polls on June 18 to fill the state's only seat in the Upper House. The ZPM currently holds a strong position in the 40-member Mizoram Assembly with 27 legislators.

Other political groups have not yet finalized their candidates. The Mizo National Front, which holds 10 seats in the assembly, indicated it plans to name a candidate soon. Meanwhile, the Congress party, holding only a single seat, does not intend to enter the race.
