Wokha Hosts Two-Day Workshop to Boost Local MSMEs

Kohima: Over 50 local entrepreneurs gathered in Wokha on May 19 and 20 for a two-day Vendor Development Programme. The initiative, supported by the World Bank under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance scheme, aimed to help small businesses navigate market access, government contracts, and business growth strategies.

Organized by YouthNet alongside the Department of Industries and Commerce, NIDC, and the Ministry of MSME, the event connected business owners from Wokha and Tseminyu districts with banking and industry experts. Representatives from the State Bank of India, Nagaland Rural Bank, and the RAMP team led sessions on credit linkages and the Government e-Marketplace platform.

The workshop also focused on promoting indigenous goods, with local founders from Urban Grower and Tongphi Products sharing practical advice from their own professional journeys. The event concluded with an exhibition that showcased various products manufactured by regional micro and small enterprises.
