Agartala: Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi wants other states to copy Tripura’s child care system. She toured several welfare sites in Agartala on Monday to check on service quality and infrastructure. The minister inspected the Girls’ Unit-II Child Care Institution, a local Anganwadi center, and a hostel project for working women.

Devi spent the day meeting with local officials and children housed in these facilities. She noted that these centers offer more than just schoolwork. They provide vocational training and practical skills to prepare kids for future jobs. She believes this strategy turns children into productive members of society.

"Tripura has developed an effective child care system that could serve as an example for other states," Devi said. She plans to encourage leaders from other regions to visit the state and study these methods. Her goal is to spread successful welfare tactics across the country to improve overall standards.

The minister also visited the Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur before finishing her rounds. Tripura Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy joined her for the inspections. Officials from both the central and state governments promised to keep upgrading systems to meet evolving needs.
