Agartala: Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath stood before the 76th Social Adhikarita Camp at South Taranagar Gram Panchayat in Mohanpur to define the government stance on welfare. He rejects pity. Instead, Nath demands empowerment and self-reliance for Divyangjan. He insists that this demographic represents dignity and capability rather than dependency.
The minister highlighted the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana and the Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase and Fitting of Aids and Appliances scheme as evidence of the central government commitment. These programs aim to better the lives of senior citizens and people with disabilities. Nath urged the public to cultivate social sensitivity to ensure benefits reach the right hands.
Nath turned his focus to the political track record of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted the Prime Minister has now served for nearly 25 years in public life, moving from his start as Gujarat Chief Minister to national leadership. He credited the Prime Minister for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which cut out middlemen and linked millions to banks. He also touted the Ujjwala Yojana for LPG access and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for hygiene.
The state official maintains that these projects prove a broader commitment to elevating living standards. He specifically pointed to housing and drinking water expansions as key successes. “Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has brought one welfare initiative after another. The government’s mission is to deliver the fruits of development to all, without leaving anyone behind,” Nath declared.
