Agartala: Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath wants the lights kept on. He met with Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited officials on Tuesday to demand ironclad reliability during the upcoming monsoon. Monsoon storms hammer the grid every year. Nath expects crews to stay alert and fix storm-related outages fast.

The minister gathered leadership from West Tripura, Sepahijala, and Khowai districts to review emergency protocols. He made his stance on service clear during the meeting. He told staff, "Every consumer complaint must be treated with utmost seriousness and resolved without delay. People should not suffer prolonged inconvenience due to power outages."

Hospitals and water plants hold top priority. These facilities must have steady power regardless of the weather. Nath also called for an end to technical headaches with the prepaid recharge system. He ordered experts to fix the bugs and ensure users can top up their accounts without a fight.

TSECL confirmed they have already sent emergency teams into the field. Warehouses are full of spare transformers, poles, and cables to handle quick repairs. Officials will track bill collections and grievances to ensure the state keeps running while the rain falls.
